Sundial cannons were developed in Europe during the early 1600's.

These beautiful, fully functional replicas are designed from early European models. They can be displayed indoors or out. Outside, they can be made to fire at "12:00, Noon", for special occasions. They can also be fired by fuse.

Up date - November 2008

After 5 years, we made some headway on our new Sundial cannon. Unfortunately, the response has been poor (possibly due to the economy). We have decided to place these on hold until the economy improves, and making a large investment ourselves.

The new cannon is a Cannon-Mania design, based on different sundial cannons from long ago. We are making our own patterns and the cannon will be made entirely in the USA (casting, machining and assembly). Our cannons have some very unique features.

The bronze barrel is 50 caliber, capable of producing a loud boom! The lens is a high quality, glass (coated) optical piece. The robust cannon and base will be all metal (no resin or wood material). It can be proudly displayed in the home or made functional outdoors, by mounting it on a pedestal or post. Invisible mounting hardware is included. It also comes with a compass for aligning it during setup.

Do I have to wait until noon to fire it? No. It can be made to fire anytime by the sun by simply rotating the base and adjusting the lens. It can also be fired anytime for celebrations (day or night) by using fuse. The barrel is easily removed from the base for cleaning & loading (no tools needed).

The cannons will come with an informative instruction booklet.
