"Bombardment" (circa 1870). It consisted of two wood mortar type cannon, having
spring steel clips that would propel small wooden cannon balls. The paper tubes acted as
targets for point scoring. |

7" tall respectively)with wood-block bases. The object is to shoot them over with the
wooden cannon's bullets. |

The Marx company produced this
cannon game during the early 1930's. The tin cannon shot bullets at the assorted tin,
lithographed targets which had various points printed under them. In the 1950's Marx was
the largest toy manufacturer in the world. |
