This new, 1700 lb cannon was placed on the dock in April of 2008, located in Texas on the Gulf Coast.

In July, hurricane Dolly hit with 150mph winds and destroyed the dock, sending the cannon & carriage into muddy salt water about 10 feet deep.  It was salvaged shortly after by hoisting up the carriage with barrel intact.

The results?  Aside from a few barnacles and a little rust,..... No damage!
